We've a long way to go to make our Mendoza Monday Showcases a serious success in terms of audiences. But the Love Music Club at Mendoza is certainly proving an attractive platform for even the most established performers in the area.
Why?
Because it's delivering a great sound, great lighting and a real sense of theatre. And yet it's easy, fun and relaxed - because it's works like an elite open mike night: they just arrive, plug in and play.
Rumour has it that we may soon be blessed with visitations from Terry Sharpe (of Karmalener); We might even have an unplugged set from The Observers in the coming weeks. I've heard rumours of interest from The Brahmas and Old Country Union. And we've already nailed down Lost Minute for a return match on the Monday 19th.
And that means we really are on the way to redefining Moday nights as a quality night out. So get down to Mendozas this and every Monday from 8.00 pm. You'll get to see as many as five different acts doing their chilled out stuff. And they'll all put a smile in your face - because they're having a good time too.
